PROPOSITARIO AZUL ASSOCIATION

Logo Prop Azul

Founded in 2003. Its main goal is to deepen the knowledge of international dramaturgy with a special commitment with Portuguese and Portuguese speaking authors and also re-writing and adapting texts. Has developed a continuous activity since then and produced around a dozen of shows presented throughout Portugal.

Very much turned into creation and also developing projects within the community and international training with those same communities.

Propositário Azul is a group of creative artists, interpreters and educators in Theatre, Voice and Music. The Association promotes independent work groups that valorize a reflection about the theatrical practice and the processes of creation.

Along with our original works we’ve also adapted texts by: William Shakespeare, Anton Tchekov, F. Xaver Kroetz, Gil Vicente, José Régio, António Patrício, Armando Nascimento Rosa, Jorge Amado and Manuel Rui.

In 2011 was financed by DGArtes – Ministry of Culture of Portugal and organized Voyages du geste nº 6 in Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal.
